a heavy sea raining. all very
sick but the sign of the sun
cheers us all, got up about
10 O’C A.M. as we were nearing
the mouth of the Thames
reached gravesend at 12 O’C noon
Downes wharf at 4 P.M. to stop
aboard all night. weather fine

A beautiful morning, a heavy sea, raining. All very sick but the sight of the sun cheers us all. Got up about 10am as we were nearing the mouth of the Thames. Reached Gravesend at 12 noon, Downes wharf at 4pm. To stop aboard all night. Weather fine.
